A CHARITY is planning its largest ever book sale for this week (March 22-23).
The sale will be held in the Pemberton Rooms, Palace Green, Durham City, on Friday and Saturday from 10am to 4pm.
All proceeds will go to the Durham Palestine Educational Trust, which funds scholarships for Palestinian students to study postgraduate courses at Durham University.
Trustee Vin McIntyre said: “We have had a succession of brilliant young men and women on our scholarship programme.
“We know that when they return home thousands of other Palestinians benefit from the skills and experience they gain in Durham.”
Entry to the book sale is free. For more information email: Durham.Palestine@durham.ac.uk
