A new amateur art group, called Painting for Pleasure, meets on Mondays from 12.30 to 2.30pm in the Bullion Hall, Chester-le-Street – new members are welcome to turn up. An exhibition of the group’s work will be held in Saltwell Towers, Saltwell Park, Gateshead, from April 3 to 30.
DANCE GROUP: A Scottish Country Dancing group meets on Thursday evenings between 7.45 and 9.45pm at the Chester-le-Street Community Association, Newcastle Bank`New members are welcome. For details call 0191-388 4752.
