FERRYHILL History Society will meet at the Eldon Arms, Ferryhill Station, on Wednesday, March 27, 7.30pm, for a talk by Ian Roberts entitled Pictures of the Past. Using pictures from the society’s archive he will explore the recording of oral history of Ferryhill as part of the Village Atlas Project and people can take pictures or documents as examples for Mr Roberts to explain interviewing techniques. Non members welcome, admission £1.

GUEST ARCHIVIST: Former county archivist Jennifer Gill will give a talk on The Londonderry Family, formerly of Wynyard Hall, near Stockton, at the next meeting of Tudhoe and Spennymoor Local History Society. The meeting will be at St David's Church Hall, in Tudhoe, on Monday, March 25, 7.30pm. New members and visitors welcome.

RESIDENTS MEETING: Chilton West Residents Association will meet at Henderson House, Coleridge Road, on Tuesday, March 26, 7pm.

LUNCH CLUB: Witton Park Methodist Chapel, Low Queen Street, Witton Park, near Bishop Auckland, will hold a luncheon club on Wednesday, March 27, noon to 2pm.
