A VILLAGE pub has welcomed a strong turnout to help celebrate its 21st beer festival.
The Crown, at Manfield, near Darlington, hosted a Best of British festival, featuring a variety of national culinary classics and a number of real ales and traditional ciders.
The weekend-long event also featured live music including the Smoking Spitfires, the Vintage Belles and an open mic session.
Landlord Peter Hynes said there had been a “fabulous turnout” during the weekend.
- A preview of the event which appeared in the May 3 edition described the beer festival as the 21st annual event. This was incorrect - the beer festival has been running for several years but was previously held twice a year, in July and September. We apologise for the error.
