MORE than 50 golfers took part in a recent fundraising event in Darlington.
Human Resources company We Do HR, which is based in Darlington, hosted the event, at Rockliffe Hall Hotel, in Hurworth, in aid of Butterwick Hospice.
The event, which raised £3,000 for the hospice, consisted of a range of golfing contests and a two-course meal at the hotel, at which the winners were announced.
Darlington-based Fresh NRG was awarded first place, with 106 points, including team members Paul Alsop, Richard Parsons, Mike Thompson and Dave Glendinning.
Brinkburn Domestics, also based in Darlington, was awarded second place, 90 points.
Team members included Graham Pilkington, Jason Davision, Brett Race and Lewis Rollie.
The man of the night award went to Dave Glendinning, of Redcar-based H Jarvis Ltd, for the best individual performance.
The dinner was followed by an informal networking event and raffle.
We Do HR managing director Alasdair Ross said: “I’m really pleased with the success of our second golf event and look forward to the next one already.
“We promised the event would be even bigger and better than last year and it was. We raised £3,000 for Butterwick - £1,000 more than last year. Let’s see what we can raise next year.
“I’d like to thank everyone who took part and attended the evening meal to raise money for a great charity.”
We do HR is already planning its third annual golf day with individuals and teams excited to sign up.
