Priorities identified for police community meeting

COMMUNITY MEETING: The Police and Communities Together (Pact) meeting for Howden-Le-Wear will take place on Wednesday (August 21) at 6.30pm in Howden-Le-Wear Community Centre.
The priority is anti-social behaviour and criminal damage in the area around the Hargill Haven Common Room.
The meeting for Willington, Hunwick and Sunnybrow is next Thursday, August 29, at 6pm in the Willington Community Action Centre.
The priorities are speeding vehicles along St Paul’s Way, in Hunwick, and anti-social behaviour in Kensington Terrace, Coronation Terrace and High Street, in Willington.
SOPRANO CONCERT: The three sopranos, Mary McEldon, Pat Austin and Vera Bowden will perform at the St Cuthberts Centre, Crook on Sunday, September 1, at 7pm. Admission is £4.
FILM CLUB: The film club will take place at the St Cuthbert’s Centre, Crook, on Wednesday, September 4, at 2pm. Tea and biscuits will be served from 1.30pm. Donations are requested. For more details call Brian Rinaldi on 01388-762046.
CRAFT WORKSHOP: Staff from Beamish Museum will hold a free traditional crafts workshop in Howden-Le-Wear Community Centre on Wednesday (August 21), from 10am to noon. Refreshments will be available.
TEESDALE WALK: The Crook and Weardale Ramblers have organised an eight mile moderate walk along fell and field paths from Middleton-in Teesdale-Kirkcarrion-Wythes Hill-Grassholme Reservoir-Lonton on Sunday, August 25. The group leaves Crook Market Place at 9.15am or meet the leader David Balmer at Middleton-in-Teesdale car park at 10am. For more details call 0191-5847654.
