Fishing rods stolen from Frosterley house
STOLEN RODS: Thieves stole fishing rods from a garage in Frosterley, County Durham, overnight on Friday (August 16). The taken rods include a Bruce Walker Powerlite 10 foot rod, spin rod Abu two foot with varnished cork handle, a nine foot Diawa spin rod with black and yellow whippings, a two foot deep red Diawa rod, a black Hilken Spin 242 with gold writing, and a black 13 foot Diawa rod. Anyone with information should contact the Weardale police team on 101.
FOLK VISIT: Folk group Prelude will play a mixture of old and new material at Bishop Auckland Town Hall on Wednesday, August 21, at 8pm, with support from Keith Morrison. Tickets cost £10 for adults and £8 concessions from 03000-269524.
SPEED WATCH: Four out of 85 motorists tracked by a speed device in Billy Row, near Cook, County Durham, were speeding, police have said. Officers held a SpeedWatch in the village on Wednesday (August 14) with residents. All of those caught speeding will be sent a warning letter through the post.
