Health and fitness organisation invited to Great Aycliffe Show
A PROJECT that promotes healthy lifestyles is encouraging sports organisations to join it at a summer show this weekend.
Active Aycliffe, an initiative that aims to improve the health and fitness of children, young people and families in the Newton Aycliffe area, has a tent at this year’s Great Aycliffe Show.
Many organisations, including the Pioneering Care Partnership (PCP), Lifestyle Fitness, Healthwatch County Durham and numerous sports clubs have already signed up to demonstrate their health and fitness activities in the tent and similar groups are invited to join them.
Organisations who wish to attend with an information stand are asked to think of an interactive taster activity to encourage people to engage after the event, which takes place at Oakleaf Sports Complex on Saturday and Sunday (August 24 and 25).
Active Aycliffe comprises Durham County Council’s sport and physical activity team, Great Aycliffe and Middridge Area Action Partnership, Woodham Academy, One Point, Great Aycliffe Town Council and Newton Aycliffe Rotary Club.
To book a stall contact Angie Cooke at the PCP on email@example.com or 01325-321234.
