The next Darlington Prince's Trust programme to be launched in September
TEENAGERS and young adults in Darlington and the surrounding area are being invited to sign up for the next Prince’s Trust programme.
The 12-week scheme starts on September 16 and is open to unemployed residents of Darlington borough and Stockton aged 16 to 25-years-old.
It incorporates a range of activities including a month-long community project, an outward bounds trip, interview technique tutorials and more.
The full-time scheme is free and will not affect benefits claims, plus there is a weekly £15 expenses allowance for participants.
Co-ordinator Martin Copley said: “If you are a youngster and you want to get ahead, it is well worth doing.”
Recent community projects carried out by previous Darlington Prince’s Trust groups including repainting The Forum music centre, renovating a nursery garden on Borough Road and creating a community garden at Firthmoor police station.
Anybody interested in getting involved in the next programme should contact Mr Copley on 07553-367549.
