North Yorkshire News in Brief: Crews called to agricultural machinery fires
Fire crews dealt with two farm fires in North Yorkshire over the weekend, as harvests continue. Crews from Easingwold and Boroughbridge were called to a fire in a combine harvester in a field near Tholthorpe at about 6pm on Saturday, September 1. The fire had started in the engine of the machinery and was thought to be an electrical fault. At about the same time, crews from Malton and Sherburn and Filey fought to put out a fire in a mobile grain drying unit at a farm near Ebberston.
