Inspiration for writers at new season of open mic nights
WRITERS can inspire and be inspired as part of a new season of open mic nights in Darlington this autumn.
The nights, supported by the Darlington for Culture group and run by Inscribe Media, offer a forum for writers to present their material to a live audience.
Inscribe Media’s John Dean said: “The open mic nights give a great opportunity for writers to be heard and for audiences to hear work which is often being read in public for the first time.
“It is a beguiling mix.”
The 2013/14 season begins on Thursday September 26. Sessions, which cost £3 and start at 7pm, will be held at Darlington’s Voodoo Café on the last Thursday of each month.
