Volunteers sought for new cancer fundraising group

SUPPORT NEEDED: Marie Curie Cancer Care is launching a new volunteer fundraising group for the Bishop Auckland and Shildon area at Sainstbury’s cafe, in St Helen Auckland, on Wednesday, September 25, at 6.30pm.
Anyone getting involved will be able to organise fundraising activities and collections.

COMMUNITY MEETING: Residents are invited to talk about any issues at a Police and communities together (Pact) meeting at the One Stop Shop, High Street, Eldon, on Wednesday, September 4, at 6pm.
GARDEN CLUB: Bishop Auckland Hospital Garden Club Show will take place at the hospital club on Escomb Road, on Saturday, September 21 and Sunday, September 22. Entries, which cost 50p each, must be submitted between noon and 2pm and judging by Bob Latcham will take place between 2pm and 4pm. All produce will be auctioned on the Sunday at 8pm and proceeds will go to charity. For more details call 01388-450524.
