Police seeking witness after accident between tractor and cyclist

POLICE are appealing for a vital witness to come forward following a collision between a tractor and a bicycle.
The accident happened near Ripon, North Yorkshire at 12.35pm on Monday, August 12, on an unclassified road near Nunwick.
A tractor, had been trimming the hedge at the side of the road when the accident happened.
As a result of the collision the 59-year-old cyclist, from Nunwick, suffered serious leg injuries. He was taken by air ambulance to Leeds General Infirmary.
Officers are trying to trace a woman driving a white car, which passed the tractor at the time of the collision.
Traffic Constable Martin Recchia, of North Yorkshire Police's Roads Policing Group, said: “If you are the woman who drove past the tractor, please contact the police straight away as you may have vital information that could help my enquiry.”
