PEFORMERS and market traders are being asked to help launch their town’s Christmas celebrations.
Groundwork North East and the Derwent Valley Partnership are organising a day of market stalls and entertainment in Consett town centre on Saturday, November 23, culminating in the switching on of the town’s Christmas lights in Middle Street.
The day-long event will feature market stalls, musical and theatrical entertainment, face painting, a magic show and an appearance from Santa.
