Woman pleads guilty to abusing her Bishop Auckland ex-husband and his new wife
A WOMAN who shouted abuse at her former husband and his new wife after a drinking session has been banned from contacting them.
Andrea Milsom, prosecuting, said the 37-year-old had previously sent him abusive texts and phone calls.
A drunken Smith went to his Bishop Auckland home on August 13 and punched on the windows and shouted abuse at him and his new wife.
Magistrates heard she was restrained by her former husband and pushed to the ground.
She continued to be abusive and police were called.
Leanne Galbraith, mitigating, said the problem arose due to arguments concerning family arrangements and added that Smith said she was kicked by both her former husband and his new wife while being restrained on the ground.
Smith admitted using threatening words and behaviour and breaching a conditional discharge charges.
Magistrates imposed a 12-month community order on Smith and ordered her to pay £85 costs and a £60 victim surcharge.
She is also subject to a restraining order preventing her from having any contact with her ex-husband or his wife except through solicitors.
