1:56pm Sunday 8th September 2013 in News
Two men had to be rescued from the River Ouse in York when their boat capsized just before 7pm on Saturday (September 7). They were in a sailing dingy on the river near the Fulford area of York when the boat got into trouble. The crew of a passing boat rescued the men from the water and they were both treated by paramedics for hypothermia. North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service also attended the scene with a fire engine and its own boat crew. They managed to retrieve the capsized vessel which was sinking.
