Bigger and better onions

REGULARS at a village pub definitely know their onions after coming up with a bumper crop for their annual show.
The Ship Inn at Richmond has had an onion club for 33 years, and judge Trevor Hill says they’re improving year on year.
This year Rob Glover carried off the top prize, ending Vic Wilson’s winning streak going back eight years.
In third place was club treasurer Carol Scott. She said:”It was a really good turnout, our onions are just getting bigger and bigger and better every year.
“For the first time this year the landlord and landlady Charles and Jill Brown, entered the competition to show their support.”
