Pig unit plans
5:48pm Monday 16th September 2013 in News
Plans to use an existing agricultural unit as a pork processing centre and office at Ingleby Lane Farm , Ingleby Greenhow, near Northallerton, were deferred by Hambleton Planning Committee for further information.
The site, a containerm is in a field used for breeding and rearing rare breed pigs.
The parish council had objected to the plans raising concerns that it would add weight to the applicants case for a permanent presence on the site, and be inconsistent with the recent refusal of a dwelling on the site.
They called for enforcement action to be taken over the continued use of a mobile home. Planning officers had recommended the application be granted.
