Man suffers head injuries following collision with a tree

A MAN suffered serious head injuries when the car he was driving left the road and collided with some trees.
The 22-year-old was airlifted to James Cook University Hospital, in Middlesbrough, following the accident on the B6297 in Tow Law, at about 6.30pm on Monday, September 16.
The red Ford Fiesta was travelling east from Wolsingham to Tow Law. No other vehicles were involved.
A 23-year-old male passenger suffered minor injuries.
Witnesses are asked to call the collision investigation unit at Durham Police on 0191-375-2159.
