THE North East Humanists will hold its next meeting at the Lit and Phil building, in Newcastle, on Thursday (September 19) at 7.15pm. The speaker will be a representative of the Stroke Association, the group’s chosen charity for this year. Tea and coffee will be served from 6.45pm.
CYBER BULLYING: Durham’s Police and Crime Commissioner Ron Hogg has launched a campaign to tackle cyber bullying. He is asking pupils at secondary schools across County Durham and Darlington to design a logo. The winner will receive a Kindle Fire HD and their school will get £250. Two runners-up will each get a £20 Waterstones gift voucher. The deadline for entries is Tuesday, October 22. Schools will be notified of how pupils can enter.
