Man charged with having offensive weapon in Bishop Auckland

Thomas Copping, 25, of Seymour Street, Bishop Auckland, has pleaded not guilty to possessing an offensive weapon namely a baseball bat with nails stuck in it.
The charge relates to an incident on Wilfrid’s Walk, Bishop Auckland, on September 3.
Copping was given conditional bail by Newton Aycliffe magistrates and the case was adjourned until December 6 at Newton Aycliffe court.
