Fun day at Bowburn youth centre
A FAMILY fun day will mark 50 years of a youth centre.
Bowburn Youth Centre will celebrate half-a-century with an event on Saturday (September 28).
There will be a bouncy castle, family disco, climbing wall, face painting and live animals, plus food, games and information stalls.
The youth centre has recently undergone work to expand its gym, taking delivery of a state-of-the-art fitness suite and new weights equipment.
The day will be officially opened by Durham County Council chairman Pauline Charlton at 11am and local GP and former national fencing champion Dr Anton Pollard will cut the ribbon on the improved gym.
The day runs from 11am to 3pm, is free and open to all. The youth centre is on Burn Street, Bowburn.
