Consultation session to discuss potential parking charges in Cockerton
4:10pm Monday 30th September 2013 in News
A CONSULTATION session to discuss possible changes to parking restrictions in Cockerton will take place later this week.
Darlington Borough Council announced details of a wide-ranging parking strategy for Darlington last month, which raised the possibility of building multi-storey car parks in the town and changes to the time restrictions in some sites.
One of the key parts of the strategy was the potential changes to parking in Cockerton, which local traders have claimed would damage their businesses.
Among the proposals was the introduction of on-street pay and display parking around Cockerton Green.
The consultation session for Cockerton residents, visitors and traders will take place in Cockerton library between 5pm and 7pm on Thursday, October 3.
Friday, October 4, is the final day for consultation responses to be entered to the council at firstname.lastname@example.org
