Yorkshire Dales boutique hotel wins prestigious industry award

A LUXURY boutique hotel has won a prestigious international award.
The Wensleydale Heifer, which describes itself as a five-star restaurant with rooms, has been awarded the International Hotel Awards five star accolade for best small hotel 2013 in the UK regional finals.
The 17th century inn was also recently awarded five stars by the AA and is one of only 61 restaurants with rooms in the UK to receive the five-star award.
The Yorkshire Dales hotel, at West Witton, competed against a number of other hotels from across the England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland to win the International Hotel Awards accolade.
It was judged on guest facilities and services, location and interior design. The winners in the next heat will represent the UK in the international finals.
Entries are judged by an experienced team of industry professionals.
Chairman of the judging panel is Sir David Michels, retired chief executive of Hilton Hotels.
David Moss, owner of The Wensleydale Heifer, said: “The Wensleydale Heifer has won a number of awards, but this one is particularly special as it as a highly respected accolade recognised worldwide.
“It is fantastic to have our high standards of customer service and excellent facilities acknowledged and this title is testament to the hard work and dedication of the whole team at The Wensleydale Heifer.”
