Forest of Teesdale Primary School pupils teamed up with Love Food project
PUPILS who taught their peers a lesson in rural farm life were rewarded for their hard work.
Eight youngsters from Forest of Teesdale Primary School teamed up with the Love Food project during the summer term and visited ten primary schools, where they delivered a presentation about their experiences of living on farms in rural Teesdale.
They provided an insight into food production in the Upper Dales and discussed their schooldays at the smallest school in Teesdale.
Love Food project organisers rewarded the group with a visit to the Morritt Arms Hotel, in Greta Bridge, where the chef experimented with a menu the children had devised.
They also enjoyed a session at the new mini golf course at Scar Top.
