2:13pm Friday 11th October 2013 in News
POLICE have confirmed there was nothing suspicious about an incident that involved officers forcing entry into a house in St Helen Auckland last week.
Officers were called to the house on Melrose Drive at around 3pm on Wednesday, October 2, after a member of the public raised concerns about a female neighbour who would not answering the door.
As the woman had health problems, officers forced their way into the property and found her unconscious in an upstairs bedroom.
Since then, rumours have been circulating about the nature of the incident.
A police spokesperson said: “The woman had been taken ill and was taken to hospital. There was nothing suspicious about it at all.”
