Half-term events will keep Darlington youngsters entertained

HALF-TERM events in Darlington include a fairground in the Market Square and events at the Head of Steam railway museum, Dolphin Centre and Civic Theatre. The holiday runs from October 29 to November 2. The fair will run throughout the week and other events include a Halloween-themed event at the museum on October 27, crafts in Cockerton library on October 30 and in the main Crown Street library the following day. CHURCH SALE: A table-top sale and Christmas fair will be held at Pierremont Methodist Church, in Vancouver Street, from 10am to 2pm, on Saturday, November 9. For details about table hire, call Chris Russell, on 01325-485342.
SCHOOL FAIR: Hurworth School’s annual Christmas fair will be held on Wednesday, November 13, at 6pm, at the school. Admission costs £1.50 for adults and 50p for children. Stalls are available for hire. For more details, call Cally Jameson, on 01325-720424.
WARD SURGERY: North Road councillors Anne-Marie Curry, Fred Lawton and Alan Macnab will be holding a ward surgery on Wednesday (October 16), from 1pm to 2pm, in St Thomas Aquinas Church hall, in North Road.
