RESIDENTS at a County Durham care home have enjoyed a fascinating day out at a military museum.
Staff and residents at Defoe Court Care Home in Newton Aycliffe had a wonderful time viewing the many exhibits on display at the Durham Light Infantry Museum in Durham City.
Wendy Walker, the manager of Defoe Court, said of the recent trip: “It was a great day out and a wonderful opportunity for residents to see such interesting exhibitions.
“We are also really pleased that the museum is so wheelchair friendly and accommodating, we’ll definitely be back”
Liz Whyte, regional managing director of HC-One, which runs the care home, added: “HC-One aims to provide the kindest care and taking residents on cultural and enjoyable trips such as this one is an important part of that.”
