Boiler woes lead to change of venue for community group
A BROKEN boiler and flooding has led to a change of venue for a meeting of a Darlington community group.
The Park East Community Partnership was due to meet at the Education Centre, in South Park, on Thursday (October 17) evening.
It has been moved to the Dolphin Centre, from 6pm to 7.15pm, due to the boiler and flooding issues at the education centre.
Park East ward councillor Cyndi Hughes said: “I've organised this meeting to bring together the headteachers, religious leaders, businesses, community groups, doctors and other health professionals, police, etc. serving the Park East community to come together to discuss actions we can jointly take to improve life in our ward - and now this boiler disaster.
“Hopefully everyone intending to attend will get the word.”
