Darlington woman fined £127 for coffee theft
A WOMAN who admitted stealing three jars of coffee worth £19 from Lidl now has to pay almost £130.
Darlington Magistrates’ Court heard today (Thursday, October 17) that Samantha Davison, 23, of Outram Street, Darlington, was recognised on CCTV stealing the coffee in August.
She said her benefits had been stopped so she stole the items to sell.
The court heard that Davison was already serving a 12-month community order imposed in June and magistrates allowed that order to continue while charging her a total of £127 in costs and fines.
