Council car parks to close for resurfacing works
3:13pm Monday 21st October 2013 in News
FOUR of Darlington’s car parks are to be refurbished by the council ahead of winter.
The car parks at Archer Street, Kendrew Street East, Kendrew Street West and Commercial Street East will each be closed on different days this month to allow for resurfacing and the repainting of white lines.
Darlington Borough Council will also change the layout of the car parks to include the provision of disabled parking bays.
Officials will only close one car park at a time and Commercial Street West car park will remain open at all times. The authority has apologised for any inconvenience that the work will cause.
The work in Archer Street will be done on Thursday, October 24; Kendrew Street West will close on Friday, October 25, while Kendrew Street East will be refurbished on Monday, October 28.
The work in Commercial Street East will be done between Tuesday, October 29 and Thursday, October 31.
The above works are weather dependant and will be rescheduled or extended if delays occur. Information will be updated in each car park if the programme has to change.
