Darlington's Bridge Centre to host Trash n Treasure art bazaar
A TRASH ‘n’ Treasure Art Bazaar is being held at The Bridge centre to enable artists to sell their surplus materials.
The event – believed to be the first of its kind in the Tees Valley – is open to anyone looking to sell their unwanted arts materials, from old cameras to partially used paint sets.
A cafe will be set up in the centre for the duration event, which is being organised by Darlington Council and arts organisation Navigator North.
Councillor Nick Wallis, cabinet member for leisure, said: “Darlington is proving to be the thrifty capital of the North-East, with events such as The Festival of Thrift and the Trash ‘n’ Treasure Art Bazaar.
“If you are looking to have a clear-out before Christmas, or if you are looking for an economic way to bolster your arts supplies, this is the event for you.”
The bazaar will take place on Saturday, November 9 from 11am to 3pm at the centre on Hundens Lane.
Entry is free; tables for sellers cost £5 and must be booked by noon on Wednesday, October 30.
