Darlington Magistrates' Court round-up

THE following cases were heard by South Durham Magistrates sitting at Darlington Magistrates’ Court today (Thursday, October 31):
DRUGS CHARGE: Fred Patterson, 46, of Gladstone Street, Darlington, admitted possession of heroin after he was caught by police with a small wrap, intended for his own use. Magistrates fined him £110 and ordered him to pay a £20 victim surcharge and £85 court costs.
NO SHOW: Lisa Michelle Burnside, 39, of Elmfield Street, Darlington, failed to appear at court to answer a charge of failing to comply with the requirements of a community order by breaching a curfew imposed on October 3 this year. Magistrates issued a warrant not backed with bail for her arrest.
