Remembrance Sunday arrangements in Barnard Castle
ROADS will be closed in Barnard Castle to allow the Remembrance Day parade to take place on Sunday, November 10.
The temporary closure, between 11.40am and noon, will cover Newgate from its junction with The Bank/Market Place to The Bowes Museum, where wreaths will be laid at the war memorial.
The parade will follow the annual Remembrance Sunday service at St Mary's Parish Church, led by Canon Alec Harding.
The service will start promptly at 10.58am and the congregation must be seated in church by 10.45am.
Any member of the public wishing to lay a wreath at the war memorial in the grounds of The Bowes Museum should contact Barnard Castle Town Council in advance on 01833-690970.
