BAND CONCERT: Bishop Auckland Methodist Church will be hosting Ferryhill Town Band on Saturday, November 9, at 7pm. Tickets cost £6, including refreshments and programme, and are available from the church or by calling 01388-607907.
CRAFT FUN: There will be a fundraising day at West Auckland Memorial Hall, on Saturday, November 16, from 10am to 4pm. All profits will go to the Get Kids Going charity.
EXERCISE TIME: A Pilates session will be held at Bishop Auckland Rugby Club, on Thursday, November 7, from 7.30pm to 8.30pm. Admission is free. For more details call Russell on 07951782657.
CHARITY CUPPA: There will be a coffee morning to raise money for children with epilepsy at Woodhouse Close Church and Community Centre, Bishop Auckland, on Saturday, November 9, from 10am to 11.30am.
PARKINSON’S MEETING: The next meeting of the south Durham branch of Parkinson’s will take place at the St Paul’s Centre, Spennymoor, on Monday, November 11, between 2pm and 4pm. MP MEET: Helen Goodman, MP for Bishop Auckland, will hold a constituency surgery at 1 Cockton Hill Road, Bishop Auckland, on Friday, November 22, at 5pm.
GREEN FINGERS: The next meeting of the Bishop Auckland Garden Club will take place in the Hospital Club, Escomb Road, on Tuesday, November 5, at 8.15pm. Members will receive an update on how to protect sheds following recent vandalism at the Pollards Allotments.
MUSICAL THEATRE: The Wear Valley Musical Theatre Company will be holding a concert featuring Beatles tracks and songs for Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber at Bishop Auckland Methodist Church, on Friday, November 22 and Saturday, November 23, at 7.15pm. MEET SANTA: Father Christmas will be making an appearance in the tea rooms in the Four Clocks Centre, Newgate Street, Bishop Auckland, on November 22 and 29 and December 6, 13 and 20. Admission is £4.50. Funds raised will go to The Chyrelle Addams Cancer Trust.
