Cricket club to hold fundraising night

A MINI craft sale, in support of Darlington RA Cricket Club, will be held at the club, in Brinkburn Road, on Thursday, November 12, at 7pm. Stalls will include costume jewellery and scarves, aprons, sewing kits, bags and baking sets. Admission costs £2 for adults and 50p for children.
FESTIVE FAIR: Hummersknott Academy Parents' Forum is holding a Christmas fair on Thursday, November 14, from 6.30pm. Admission costs £1.50 for adults, including refreshments, children go free. There will be food hall, craft stalls, confectionery and Christmas gift ideas.
QUILT MAKING: A quilt-making workshop will be held at Drawn Treads studio, at Lingfield Point, on Saturday, November 16. For more information, email email@example.com
SCHOOL CONCERT: Darlington mayor Charles Johnson will host a concert in Central Hall next Tuesday (November 12). Doors open at 6.30pm. Tickets cost £5 at the door and £4 in advanced, with concessions available. The event will include performances from Durham Music Service and Darlington schools and is sponsored by Hummersknott and Carmel Academies.
PIRATE FUN: Dozens of people attended a ‘My Granny is a Pirate’-themed event at Darlington Library. The event, which was aimed at children aged six and under, was based on Val McDermid’s book of the same name.
LIONS EVENT: Darlington Lions Club is holding a Christmas Craft Fair, at Blackwell Grange Hotel, on Sunday, November 17. There will be a total of 30 stalls, selling jewellery, cards, handbags, scarves, Christmas decorations, cakes, jams and chutneys among other items. There will also be a Meccano exhibition. The event runs from 10am to 4pm. Admission costs £2 for adults and is free for children.
