A MAN’S false hip was dislocated when he was knocked to the ground in an assault. The 35-year-old man, from Brandon, County Durham, was walking over the village’s sports field near to the Co-op, on Rowland Road, at about 5.45pm on Friday, November 29, when he was approached by two people and punched twice to the head, causing him to fall. Anyone with information is asked to call Durham Police on 101.

MP’S PRAISE: Durham City MP Roberta Blackman-Woods has praised Tesco for allowing Durham Foodbank to hold food collections in five of its County Durham stores over the weekend and topping up all donations by 30 per cent. She said without the efforts of Tesco and Durham Foodbank many people would be going hungry.
