BIKE CONFIDENCE: Weekly ride outs are taking place in Darlington’s South Park and West Park.
The council-run sessions are to help people regain bike confidence.
They take place on Thursdays from 10am to noon from South Park clock tower and at the same time on Sundays from the West Park play area.
Sessions cost £2.50, bikes and helmets are provided if required and under 16s are free with a paying adult.
TREE FESTIVAL: People can enjoy a glass of mulled wine and a mince pie while admiring the Christmas trees at a festival at St Cuthbert’s Church, in Barton, near Darlington.
The event is open from 4pm to 8pm on Friday, December 13, 10am to 6pm on Saturday, December 14, and 2pm to 6pm on Sunday, December 15. Tickets are £3 or £5 for a family ticket.
