A HOSPICE is looking for schools, youth clubs and other groups to stage fundraising Santa Fun Runs.
The sponsored events see young participants undertaken a fun run dressed in festive costumes.
Among those already signed up to support St Cuthbert’s Hospice, in Durham City, are Durham Trinity School and Sports College and Neville’s Cross Primary School.
Jane Young, director of sports at Trinity, said: “As a school we have supported St Cuthbert’s continuously over the year.
“It makes the children aware of issues in the local community in which they live.
“We feel St Cuthbert’s is a very worthwhile cause and are proud to help in whatever way we can.
“The Santa Fun Run is a great fundraiser for us to get involved with as it ties in with our sport agenda and gets the children into the Christmas spirit whilst raising money for a great charity.”
