Barnard Castle School Chapel Choir's festive performance
BARNARD Castle School Chapel Choir will perform carols, readings and recitals at The Bowes Museum, in the town.
The event takes place on Friday, at 7.30pm.
Entry is £12 or £10 for Friends of The Bowes Museum.
Mulled wine and mince pies will be served afterwards.
SCHOOL FAIR: Barnard Castle School’s Christmas fair takes place on Sunday, from 10.30am to 3pm. TV antiques expert David Harper will open the event, which also includes a Santa’s grotto. Entry is free.
CRAFT FAIR: A craft fair takes place in the Methodist church hall, on Horsemarket, Barnard Castle, on Saturday, from 9.30am to 4pm. Entry is free.
FESTIVE EVENT: There will be a Christmas fair at The Witham, in Barnard Castle, on Saturday, from 11am to 3pm.

HISTORY GROUP: The Gainford Local History Group meets in Gainford village hall, on Monday, at 7.15pm. Professor Tony Pollard will deliver an illustrated talk entitled The King in the Car Park. The talk starts at 7.30pm. Entry is £2, including refreshments.
