PATIENTS, staff and members of the public are being asked to outline their views on the future of the NHS.

NHS North Durham Clinical Commissioning Group has organised two public consultation meetings to discuss the challenges lying ahead for the health service.

The first event takes place at County Hall, in Durham on Tuesday, December 10, starting at 6pm in Committee Room Two.

It is followed by a second event at 10am on Wednesday, December 11 in Belle Vue Leisure Centre, in Ashdale Road, Consett.

Topics under discussion include frail and elderly care, mental health, emergency care and stroke services.
