A VILLAGE football team is looking to build on its success after signing a new sponsorship deal.
Coxhoe Athletic has reached an agreement with housebuilder Barratt Homes, which has supplied the Wearside League club with new tracksuit tops.
Secretary Paul Charlton said: “On behalf of everyone at Coxhoe Athletic, I would like to thank Barratt for sponsoring our club tops for the season.
“Their support is much appreciated.”
Barratt has a housing development at The Limes, next to the club’s Beechfield Park home ground.
Tracy Iles, a senior sales manager at Barratt, said: “Wherever we build, we aim to make a positive contribution and establish strong relationships with the local community.
“Football is a sport that communities can rally around.
“Coxhoe Athletic was founded in 1950 and is very much part of the fabric of village life.
“We’re delighted to support the club and wish them every success.”
