A MAN who died in a crash on a busy North-East road has been named.
Lewis Dickson, of Adolphus Street, Seaham, was driving along the A167, about 400m north of Chilton roundabout, in a green Rover 25 when it collided with an articulated lorry.
The accident happened shortly after 10am on Wednesday, December 4. The 21-year-old was overtaking a brown coloured Vauxhall Meriva, when his car hit the lorry head on and then spun around to collide with the offside of the Meriva.
The 56-year-old male lorry driver, of Consett, was treated at Darlington Memorial Hospital for minor injuries while the driver of the Meriva, a 61-year-old man from Brandon was not hurt.
Witnesses should call the road policing unit on 101.
