TWO men have been arrested after a house was broken into at Ouston.
It happened on Tuesday, December 3 at 5pm at Mount View, Ouston, near Chester-le-Street.
Two offenders were seen leaving the property by an open rear kitchen window. It is not yet known if they stole anything from the house.
Two men aged 23 – one from Ouston, the other from Houghton-le-Spring - have been arrested, interviewed and bailed pending further enquiries. Police are appealing for people who were in the area at the time and may have information, to come forward.
Police are particularly keen to trace a male wearing combat trousers who may have been walking a dog near the house.
