WONDERFUL WINDOW: The winner of Barnard Castle's annual Christmas window dressing competition is Bramble Pie, in Horsemarket. Highly commended were Bohemia, Age UK and The Trouser Agency. The compatition was organised by Barnard Castle Meet in conjunction with the town's business guild and judge was Meet queen Deanne Cruddas who chose the winner from 17 entries.
COFFEE AND CAROLS: Rev Beverly Hollings will lead a coffee and carol service at Newbiggin Methodist Chapel on Tuesday, December 10, starting at 10.30pm. All welcome and cars should be parked near the village hall.
CAROL SINGING: Fishburn School and Fishburn Band will be playing and singing Christmas carols on the village green on Wednesday, December 11, starting at 7pm. There is no charge and all are welcome.
