A CHURCH will feature dozens of decorated trees as part of an annual festival which starts on Friday.
More than 50 Christmas trees will be decorated and lit up at St Mary's, Barnard Castle's Parish Church.
Each tree has been sponsored by e alocal organisation or businesses.
Admission to the festival is £4 for adults (free for children) and includes mulled wine and a mince pie.
Those going along to see the trees are also invited to donate a tin or packed of food which will be given to the Durham Foodbank.
St Mary's and all the churches in Barnard Castle have a foodbank collection point and donations of festive food such as mince pies and sweets for children are especially welcome.
On Sunday, December 15, there will be a carol concert among the trees at St Mary's.
