A CARE home worker from Spennymoor has been named runner-up in the Great North East Care Awards 2013.
Maisie Bamforth, of HC-One Lothian House Care Home, Clyde Terrace, Spennymoor, was picked up the accolade.
The judges praised her passion, commitment and loyalty to Lothian House and its residents.
Jill Morton-Carr, HC-One home manager, said: “Maisie deserves recognition for the tremendous kindness and commitment she shows towards residents.
“Maisie is a great team leader and it is an asset to have her in Lothian House.”
HC-One regional managing director, Liz Whyte, said: “We are delighted that Maisie was recognised at the Great North East Care Awards.
“She is a brilliant example of the HC-One staff going above and beyond the call of duty to provide the kindest care.”
