Festive acoustic night at The Quakerhouse

FESTIVE ACOUSTICS A Christmas acoustic night will be held upstairs at the Quakerhouse in Darlington on Monday December 16. The evening will feature a performance from Eddie Miller.

SCHOOL’S OUT A ‘School’s Out’ event held at The Half Moon & Crafty Pint pub in Darlington will feature live music with Bad Bob Bates. Northern tapas will be served from 5pm and the live music will begin at around 8.30pm.

HISTORY TALK Family life in 17th century County Durham will be at the heart of a talk given by Dr Dorthy Hamilton on Wednesday December 18. The talk, hosted by the Darlington Historical Society, will take place at the Friends’ Meeting House on Skinnergate from 7.30pm.

DARLINGTON RAMBLERS An eight-mile walk around Winston and Whorlton will be led by the Darlington Ramblers on Sunday December 22. Walkers are asked to meet at the Queen Elizabeth Sixth Form College at 9.45am. For more details, call 01325 359110.

COMEDY CLUB Comedians Duncan Oakley, Daliso Chapons and MC Barry Dodds will entertain audiences at the Hilarity Bites Christmas Comedy Club, to be held at The Forum in Darlington on Friday December 27. Doors open at 7.30pm and tickets cost £10.

TREATMENT TASTERS Hands-on Holistics will hold a treatment taster evening on Thursday December 19 from 6.30pm. Held at 19 Duke Street, Darlington, the event will offer 20-minute taster sessions of seated chair massage and reiki.
