Darlington Council’s Housing Support team is holding a Christmas Party on Friday at the Park Place Community Centre on Friday.

The event will give people the chance to meet with other users of the service and talk to the council’s support team.

It runs from 1.15pm to 3pm and refreshments will be available.

MUSIC PARTY: An evening of live music will mark Darlington R'n'B Club’s Christmas Party this Friday at the Darlington and Simpson Rolling Mills Social Club in Longfield Road.

Club favourites, The Stumble, will be playing Chicago blues influenced rhythm 'n' blues and will be supported by Tyneside band The Boneshakers who will play 60's influenced British blues.

Tickets priced £12.50 are available from Guru Boutique in Blackwellgate, or on the door from 7.30pm.

CHRISTMAS SERVICES: Northgate United Reformed Church is holding a series of special services over the Christmas period.

On Sunday, December 22, there will be a nativity service led by the Junior Church.

On Christmas Eve a carol service by candlelight will take place from 6.30pm, followed by mince pies, and a communion service at 11.30pm.

Dorothy Thomson will lead a Christmas service at 10.30am on Christmas Day, and on Sunday December 29 there will be a service of lessons and carols at 10.45am.
