A NOVEL idea to encourage teenagers to use the library and read more is being introduced at the Crown Street Library.
Teenagers are being encouraged to take part in the Book Face project which invites participants to choose a library book and take a comedy photograph of themselves with the book cover over their face to make a “book face”.
It is hoped that the play on words with popular social networking site facebook, along with the idea of taking “selfies” – self portrait photographs - will encourage this age group to visit the library.
Anyone taking part can borrow the camera from the library and the photo will be printed and displayed on the wall.
